My Hooky Creations

Well here at Wiggles Towers we have all had colds and fluy bugs to contend with, were getting there though and all hope to be well for Saturday when we spend the day at the outlaws! Today l have had the chance to do some hooky bussiness and been working on two blankets that l am in the process of making. The picture above is a Granny Stripe blanket that l am making for the bed in my craft room. I am using my favourite yarn, its called Special from Stylecraft, comes in a ray of colours and reasonablely priced too. I purchase my yarn from Masons http://www.masonsneedlecraft.org.uk/ They offer a fantastic friendly service too.
The picture above is of a Granny Ripple blanket that l am making for me to use when l'm whizzing about out on my mobility scooter. I am using the same yarn as l used for my Granny Stripe blanket above.

Bears Bears Bears Every Where

I thought you might like to know about the bears l design and make. I started designing and making bears around 8-9 years ago when l got a kit from a craft show in London. I made the bear and all l can is that l was smitten and wanted to make more, l havent looked back since that day, l eat, sleep and breath bears!!!

I have my own website now which can be found here http://www.wigglesbears.webs.com/ and also a facebook page too. The smallest bear l have made was 1 1/2'' and the largest was 30''.

I am now designing and making other animals too and next year l have a new range of animals coming out, so watch this space!!!

My first Crocheted Blanket

Here is my first crocheted blanket, as modeled by my 5 year old son Aston! l used Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino yarn and 3.5mm hook size. This was my very first project believe it or not and pardon the pun but l was hooked! The yarn is a lovely soft yarn to work with and comes in a ray of colours.

Potty For Birds

I am just so in love with making these little birds, l've lost count how many l have now made. The pattern for these birds can be found on my favuorite blog Attic24 at the following address www.attic24.typepad.com/. I have to say that Lucy's blog has been my inspiration to start to learn to crochet something l started to do when l stumbled on Lucy's blog about a year ago now.
